VACANCY - SENIOR MECHANIC (FULL-TIME), WINDSOR STORE

The Bike Company is an independent, family-run bicycle shop located in Windsor, Berkshire. We are looking for a full-time bicycle mechanic that is passionate about bikes and cycling.

ABOUT US:

We sell a wide range of bikes, bicycle parts, sports clothing and sports nutrition for all styles of cycling such as leisure, commuting, fitness and competing.

We also offer a hire bike service as well as bike fitting, cleat fitting and saddle sizing services.

We pride ourselves on brilliant customer service and care in a friendly environment. This has allowed us to build a diverse and loyal customer base since 2006.

We are a friendly team comprised of enthusiastic bicycle experts with over 60 years in combined experience of working in bike shops.

As a team, we collaborate using our own experiences which in turn provides us with frequent opportunities to learn and train others.

Our workshop offers servicing, repairs and maintenance courses to our customers.

THE ROLE:

As an experienced bike mechanic, you will be expected to assess, service, build, and repair most types of bicycles.

Experience in servicing and repairing e-bikes would be ideal, although not essential.

You will have to occasionally undertake the duties of a retail advisor when required as well as supervisory roles within the store.

For that reason, it is imperative that you possess excellent customer service and communication skills and are able to maintain professionalism.

You must be able to work effectively and efficiently in a team as well as working autonomously. A full job description will be provided upon request.

EXPERIENCED REQUIRED:

Extensive knowledge on a wide range of bikes is essential for this role.

You must be able to demonstrate the experience you have with a wide range of servicing and repairs.

It is also essential that you are friendly, customer-focused and a helpful solution-provider.

English (verbal and written) skills and strong numeracy skills along with satisfactory IT skills are imperative.

Cytech level 2 or level 3 qualification is highly desirable, although exceptions will be considered.

Full time, 5 days a week which will include at least one weekend day.
